I know I was his #1 fan you can ask anyone I loved him to my heart and the way he went was seriously the worst day of my life. I went to redskins park 21 days in a row to honor Sean. He was my all-time favorite and always will be. I think th best way to honor Sean is to put him in the Hall Of Fame. If the NFL did that it would be the GREATEST day of my life. I live in VA and I would probably go 21 hours early to get the best seats. I went to the Bills game after Sean died and I cried pretty much the whole time and got the towel that I got framed with a jersey of his and is in my room. Message: Sean will be greatly missed. I for one feel at times that it is hard to believe that sean is gone. I have been a redskin fan for 27 years ever since i was in diapers. I have watched greats take the field at R.F.K like Art Monk, Darrel Green and John Riggins but none of them to no disrespect have had a bigger impact on me than sean. When he took the field you felt that you had an advantage over other teams like he was of an immortal. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of sean and the whole redskin organization. Message: sean's whole career was amazing to watch from the start. packing people into gulliver playoff games at cobb stadium at UM was unreal...basketball games were great too...a pick-6 into our gulliver section UM @ BC, canes winning the rose bowl. playing madden with my redskins #36 jersey on, and then onto the pro-bowl, he was getting better and better every year. football made him a star, hard work and dedication to his family made him a man. you are missed by millions, but there's 1 that matters most; we wish the best for her and jackie.

Sean u will always be my favorite player, you didn't have to stop and talk to me after the game but u did and it shows u cared about ur fans. I always believed that no matter how good or bad we where as a team as long as we had #21 in our secondary we had a chance. I didnt understand how much someone you only met a few times could have such an impact on me until I read the news of your passing. Message: You know I'm looking at all of the memorial photos and the auction website. This is still a shock that the man is gone. I can remember going to bed on the 26th of Nov happy that the reports were that he was responding to the nurses commands. My heart was broken as I got up at 5:00 in the morning to hear that Sean died. I felt like I lost a close friend. I still tear up a bit when I look at the sections on the Washington Post or the Redskins.com. Aside from football thank you for being a role-model and a family man to those who love you. Ive never missed a Redskins home game in 19yrs and from the moment he was drafted has been the jersey i have worn, from #36 to #21, his pro bowl and his throwback, i always made sure i had the most feared and yet respected name in the league upon my back. I will continue to wear #21 in his honor. The Redskins fans needed Sean as much as the organization did. Message: From my family to Sean Taylors family! Sean bought my 95 Impala SS on July 10, 2007! He was looking forward to fixing it up and completely customizing it! Sean first approached me on June 29,2007, to inquire whether I would be interested in selling my car to him! From that point on until he came to our house with Tric Evans on July 10th, my wife and I both had several conversations with Sean up until his death in November! He became a good friend of ours! He was like another son to my wife and I, and my whole family, from my oldest daughter Melinda, my son Damien, my youngest daughter Rebekah(Beka), my grandson Dominique (Nicky), and my youngest grandson Ethan (he shared his crackers with Sean that day in our house). We became very close to Sean and were very upset when his life ended so tragically! All he talked about at our house and on the phone, even when he called us from North Carolina or Florida was watching his young daughter grow up, doing things with his family, being able to be this person he wanted to be and not the person he had been or things he had done earlier in his career! The heart, determination and skill he showed on and off the field will never be matched. Message: R.I.P. Sean Taylor, I am at a lost for words. I can remember where I was when I heard about Sean Taylor being shot. I was heading back to my dorm at Claflin University. I got a txt message from my little sister. I refuse to believe her. I thought it was a prank. I got to my dorm. I turned on the Television. ESPN had the news on the shoting. My day was done from there. I didn't not attend any of the rest of my class. This was just a very traggic and uncalled for event. I am always praying for the family and his team mates. Dealing with the death of Sean Taylor 21 is hard. I really enjoyed watching him play the game he loved so much. He played like the players of the yester years. We went to a card show in VA, and got him and other Redskins to sign a helment.Sean took the time to shake everyones hand that just wanted to say Hi. He had a huge smile on his face. I was lucky enough to have an internship with the Redskins during the 2005 preseason, and had the pleasure of sitting next to Sean and speaking with him on more than one occasion. He was always nice and very humble, and I thought that was the most amazing thing about him. I'll never forget the handshake we had on the sidelines in Baltimore because far too often people don't get to meet their favorite players...lucky I did. Good times with #21.

Message: I've been a Redskin fan for as long as I can remember. Sean Taylor has touched my life through unbelievable lengths. My wife and I were lucky enough to be able to actually meet Sean back in July of 2007. We went to a Sports cards/memorabilia show in Chantilly, VA and met Sean in person and got his autograph on my replica Redskins helmet. We got a picture of him signing it, we also took a picture of me kneeling down and holding Sean's hand, but the saddest part about that, that picture did not take when we developed the film. Now, that can only be a memory. That day, we also were fortunate to meet Clinton Portis, Santana Moss, and Jason Campbell and we got all of their autographs on the helmet as well. I would not part with the helmet for all the money in the world, it is priceless to me. I look at it every day when I wake up and right before I go to bed. It reminds me all of the time how much we really do have, and to not take one day of life for granted. I love Sean Taylor, he is a huge inspiration in my life. His story and his memory will continue to motivate me to accomplish many great things in life. I will always remember the day I shook his hand, and saw him smile. RIP Sean Taylor, 4/1/83-11/27/07, we will see you again one day, I promise.

You were one of very few players that was all about the game and not necessarily about the money and for that you are tops on my list. I met you on numerous occasions, but the most memorable was in Tampa after the win in the playoffs. You were about to get on the bus, but when you saw that people (especially kids) wanted autographs, you stopped and signed them. Sean's story as the son of a police chief raised to be the best he could be has resounded to me since I came across it the fall of 2003. Message: Sean, My college team is Florida State. You used to torch us with interceptions and returns for touchdowns. I said you looked like a man playing with boys...you just stood out as a dominate force. Then, as you might expect I didn't like you because you were on Miami; late when the NFL draft came about I prayed my beloved Redskins of 51 years would draft you. It was one of the few times they payed attention to me. You were my favorite Redskin and it was like we had a special comraderie whenever you stepped on the field. I bought # 36 as soon as it came out. I rooted for and followed your career and prayed for you in the silent spot of my heart. Your death was a shock that resounded all over the NFL, but for me it sapped my will and made me cry. I still cry often when I see or hear people talk about you. Message: Man, I can't believe it. ONE YEAR. I still can't believe the best safety in the NFL is gone. Sean truly was the best NFL player in my eyes. I never had a favorite player in the NFL until Sean was drafted. I only had a favorite team (Skins). Players around the league had fear in their eyes while watching Sean. Message: It’s been one Year yesterday... maybe a little bit long than that since we have seen Sean play. I just wanted to say that "not a day goes by without Sean Taylor being on my mind" I know it may seem absurd, being that I never met him, but for some reason, nothing psychotic, I feel like I did know him, and felt the hurt just as much as any “TRUE Redskins fan” did and still does. I do miss watching him on gameday, and as silly or stupid as it sound to “anyone” , during every nail biting game the Redskins play, my superstition is to ask Sean for an extra hand out there on defense (keeping my fingers “crossed” like Tanna does when he makes a big play “2 fingers n one “ 21) I hope this Sundays game will be filled with the same level of emotion and excitement as it did last year when my wife and I traveled down to FedEx from Connecticut to see the tribute to Sean Taylor, This time hoping it be with a more positive out come, and that be the Skins beating up on the G- Men for another much needed Win. Message: Wow...it's been a whole year....hard to believe...I'm a life long Redskin fan...and also a life long Sean Taylor fan...Even before the HUDGE Pro Bowl hit on Brian Moorman....I remember a year ago yesterday....I stayed home from school because we had just got back from the away game with the Bucs and the Redskins. I was getting in the car with my grandmother when i heard "Updating you on the Breaking News Redskins Pro Bowl Saftey Sean Taylor has been shot in his Miami Florida home, he is currently in critical condition" After I heard that My heart just blew up...my favorite player...the best player to ever put on a Redskin helmet...the best player on the Defensive side of the football...the one and only Hitman...After my brothers and sisters got home and i told them about the news they thought i was lying expecially my little 11 yr old brother Andrew...he was crushed he is also a redskin/sean taylor fan, all day long the 6 kids me 16, and 3 sisters 13, 9, 6 and my 2 bros 11, 8 were switching back and fourth on tv channels, radio stations, on the computers in my house...you name it they did it...still to this day i remember everything that happened RIP SEAN YOU WILL FOREVER BE REMEMBERED TO ME AS THE HITMAN THANK YOU FOR IMPACTING MY LIFE......IN A POSITVE WAY THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES THOUGHTS GO TO FAM

Message: i will never forget when i first heard that sean had been shot. briefly stunned, i never considered the fact that this superhero could die. i remember waking up to go to school and once i was about to leave i checked online and it said that he died. i never cried so hard in my life. i remember walking in to school to the area where i usually go with my friends but instead of talking to or acknowledging any of them i put my head down on a locker and sobbed. my friends had never seen me cry and here i was crying my face out for a man that i had never met but meant so much to me. i just remember in the month following i would start randomly crying at home at the mention or thought of sean. 21 lives on.

Message: Sean was, and to this day is, my hero. He had a rough start but he overcame his issues and became not only a great football player, but a great man. On Nov. 27 last year I remember waking up and rushing to the TV to see how he had made out over the night. I never expected to hear the worst news, he didnt make it. I was heartbroken. Some may think its weird that I was so upset, but the Redskins are my passion, and was Sean my favorite player. I have season tickets and I remember his last game where right after a play he ran into the locker room after hurting his knee. That was the last time I ever saw him. Well now, one year later, I still think of him often. I know hes in a better place, but he is greatly missed. RIP #21 You will always be missed and never forgotten. <3

Message: 1 year and four hours ago I woke up excited for a better day than before when Sean got shot two reasons: 1) it was my birthday and 2) I went to bed knowing Sean had "turned corner and shown signs of recovery." I remember the cold chill that went down my spine when I heard. Immediate tears, my favorite Redskin of all-time passed away, on my birthday no less. It was one of those moments in life I would like to block out, but will never forget. I have seen many players come through DC. I was a boy when we won all 3 Super Bowls. Greats like Darrell Green, John Riggins, Art Monk, Russ Grimm, Gary Clark, Joe Theismann, Dexter Manley, Charles Mann, Brian Mitchell, Joe Jacoby, and many more all played here, but not one electrified me the way Sean did. I have a special place in my home designated to commemorate Sean. Over the past year, not a day has gone by where I havent thought of Sean. Many of my friends dont understand it, saying its a little weird because I had never met him. It doesnt take meeting in person to feel inspired by the maturity he displayed in his final year of life. As a fan, I feel a special connection to Sean. For the day he died, is the day of my birth. I will never forget! God bless Sean Taylor, his baby Jackie, his fiancee Jackie, Pete, and all of his family!

Message: I had the rare priviledge to see Sean play in his first pro game his last complete game. The first game was preseason at the Hall of Fame Game in 2004 against the broncos. The last game was in 2007 at home against the cardinals. Both games were memorable. He intercepted passes in both of them, and returned one for a touchdown against the broncos. I had the pleasure to get his autograph prior to the cardinals game. He didn't have to do it but he did. That autograph sits above my desk at work and I can't help but see it everyday. It means a lot for players to take the time to sign autographs and say "hi". Sean was a fan favorite, and the best in the game. He is missed.

Message: Sean was my favorite player on the team the day he got drafted I was praying that the Redskin select him because I saw footage of him in Miami and he was a beast. Message: It's been a year since Sean's death and, to be honest, I was able to put the tragedy in the back of my head after the season last year. It was only when training camp started that I truly started thinking more and more about Sean's contribution as a football player to the Redskins. I remember thinking how irreplaceable he is. But then I realized that I was being entirely jealous with my thoughts and not thinking about Sean as a father, son, brother, boyfriend, etc. It is such a trememdous tragedy that this man was taken from his family. Forget football, he left behind a daughter and a loving family. And for what? What a terrible sequence of events. Just reading the Washington Posts' article today about the men that slept on his couch and then months later participated in his murder makes me angry, sad, adn revengeful. I know there is nothing I can do personally except write here as a theraputic exercise and let the Taylor family that everyone on this site truly feels infinite sorrow for your loss. We are just glad that we were able to share part of Sean when he was still with us. Thank You.

Message: When Sean was drafted I was so excited because I had heard so much about him and how great of an athlete he was. When he began to play I became an instant fan. His tenacity, speed, and showmanship won me over instantly. I know that some people hate it when football players celebrate a play on the field, but everytime Sean made a play I enjoyed his celebration. Wheter it was his "sprinkler" when he got his first sack, his fist pump after pounding Willie Parker, his point to the sky after returning a fumble for six against Tampa, or the one that stays in my mind the most, the dive into the end zone against the Eagles. For the time that he played I learned that the 'Skins could leave the middle of the field to him while they allowed other DBs to blitz in on the QB. He was truly amazing. I only wish I had the opportunity to meet him and get to know him as a person because he seemed like a good guy off the field. He is truly missed around here and though his induction into the Ring of Fame certainly wont bring closure to this tragedy, it sure is a great way to honor a young man who meant a lot to this community. Message: Sean, I remember when I first heard of you playing football, back when you were still at the University of Miami. I thought you were so cool, because you had gone to the same school I had; Gulliver Preparatory. From then on I followed your football career. The Washington Redskins had already been my favorite football team, and when I heard you were drafted by them, I was ecstatic. I remember talking to my friends about every interception and forced fumble I saw you achieve. When I heard the news about the shooting I couldn't believe it. I thought it must have been a joke. I proceeded to look at every single website I could to find out more information. I then talked it over with my father, and was wondering if you would be alright and be able to continue your season. I would have never imagined that certain events would come to pass. When I woke up the next morning my father told me that you had passed away during the night, I was extremely sad and cried for awhile. Even at school I was on the brink of tears watching the memorial service/presentation they had for you. Even now as I recall those emotions I am filled with sadness. You truly were a legend, and I will never forget you. You will live on in my heart and in not only my heart, but in the hearts of all those people who loved you. Life truly isn't fair. Rest in peace, and I will never forget you.

Message: I have been a Redskins fan since learning the sport of football at age 5 and it has been a long journey over these 25 years. I remember Sean's rookie year when he was signed, I met him at his first official Redskin party but our brief meeting left a lasting impression. His growth and maturity was extremely apparent over the last years of his life and I'm just honored to say that I had an opportunity to meet him. As I began to follow his career, he was not only a vicious safety, but he was feared throughout the league. I guess the moment that sticks out to me is when the Skins were playing Philly about three or four years ago and Donovan threw a perfect pass to Pinkston and as Pinkston prepared to catch the ball, he saw Sean Taylor coming and decided not to catch the pass which would have resulted in a huge completion. Message: So it has nearly been a year since the senseless, tragic death of one of the great young stars in the NFL. The first time I saw Sean play was against Ohio State in the National Championship game. I am a die hard Buckeye fan, but it was hard to not want to root for the guy. The way he carried himself on the field, the way he played the game. He played with such heart and passion, and you don't see that very much anymore in professional sports. I am blessed that I had the experiance to watch him play the game the way he did. Message: Taylor Family, I can't beleive it's been a year already. It seems like it was yesterday I was glued to the TV and Web looking for the latest news on Sean. Then finding out early one morning he had passed. I cried, I still cry. Every time I look at his picture I sit back and wonder...what's he doing now?...what was it that God had in store for him?...why did he take such a young man away from those who loved him? I'm sure there's a bigger plan for him than any of us could imagine. I wish I could say I was one of those lucky family members of friends who knew Sean, and had the opportunity to know the man that many of us fans only knew as #21. It was rare to see him in a post-game interview, or maybe a training camp interview, but I guess that's the way he was. His actions on and off the feild were louder than his words could ever be. To hear his teamates tell some of their memories of Sean makes us all realize what kind of a man he was. I remember Rock Cartright and Greg Williams speaking of Sean and I was blown away how much respect those guys (and many others) had for Sean. I can't tell you how much he is missed at my house...my wife and I sometimes go on youtube and look at tribute and highlight videos...just to sit here with tears rolling down our faces. God Bless Sean and his Family. #21 will live in my heart forever!

Message: Since that tragic day i have not been the same. I stayed up all night prayin that he make it out that coma, not to play football but just to be able to see his daughter grow. I cried all night and day luckly i had my wife there to support me. The day of the funeral I called out of work to watch it and to pay my respects the best way i could. Umtil the day I sat at my chair and watched the 2004 NFL draft, I jumped up and screamed in joy when we selected you with the fifth overall pick. Ever since then, I knew I had a favorite player. I never got to meet him in real life but I've heard such great things about him & what a good caring person he was. All I knew was how amazing he was on the football field. Message: Its really nice to so many people care about Sean the way i did. He was my hero. I go to the same high school he attended Gulliver prep. in our gym we have a banner with the 2000-01 state football team and im proud to see Sean's name up there along with every other player. During the week i would always check his stats seeing how his stats would compare, seeing if he could make the probowl. i loved when sunday would come around and i would get to see my hero destroy people. Message: The second they started selling #21 jerseys, I bought one. Hands down you were have favorite Redskin. That is not something I threw around lightly. I went to college out of market, and defended your playing and talent to everyone that never really wanted to hear it. It sounds ridiculous, but I can't wear another jersey now. That #21 is all I can wear in good faith. The numbers are wearing off, it barely still fits, but now that you are gone, I can no longer pledge my allegiance to any one player. When I plump out of this jersey it is getting hung on my wall, and I will never wear another in good faith. It sounds foolish, but this is the only way I know to show my love of someone that I never met. Someone that gave me the ability to enjoy so many Sundays as I did. God bless you Sean, and may you rest in peace.

Message: its still is hard to see old photos and videos watching him play just knowing that you will never see anyone play his position like he did. sometimes i cant believe he is gone and no longer is alive. i will miss seeing him play, and only can imagine how good area 51 could of been.
